What is Printify and how does it work?
Printify is a marketplace layer over a network of print shops: for each product, you pick which provider prints it (comparing base price, location, print method, and ratings), publish to your store, and orders route to that provider for fulfillment. You're assembling a supply chain from vetted options rather than buying from one factory.
Printify standout strengths
Margins. The provider competition drives base costs meaningfully below Printful — often a few dollars per garment — and the Premium subscription's ~20% discount turns real volume into real margin difference. Provider choice also enables strategy mainstream POD doesn't: pick a European provider for EU customers and shipping drops in cost and days.
Printify weaknesses and drawbacks
Variability is the tax on those margins. The same design on the same blank can print differently across providers, so sample-testing each provider you use isn't optional — it's the process. When something goes wrong, resolution involves Printify mediating with the provider, which is slower than Printful owning the problem outright. Treat provider ratings as load-bearing information.

Printify review: final verdict
Printify rewards operators: a creator who samples providers and watches ratings gets Printful-adjacent quality at better margins. A creator who won't manage suppliers should pay Printful's premium instead.
